Sea Grant

California Sea Grant College (CSG) funds the marine research, outreach, and education efforts of some 75 scientists and 50 graduate students at Scripps and other academic centers with funds from federal, state, and private sources. CSG scientists perform basic and applied research in marine biology, chemistry, physics, and economics to address current marine-related problems. CSG is a component of the 31-program Sea Grant coastal and Great Lakes network and uses network resources toward efforts such as increasing ocean literacy.
