Whether you're planning an elegant dinner or large business reception, the aquarium is an ideal location. With a capacity of up to 1,500, groups of any size are welcome. For privacy and convenience, your rental guarantees access to the entire facility. Our tide-pool plaza provides a beautiful outdoor setting; the indoor Galleria is perfect for cocktail receptions, meetings or dinners; and the spacious outdoor courtyard is exceptionally versatile. All three areas provide sensational ocean and sunset views.

Eventfully Enlightening

A variety of unique options are available to stimulate and enlighten your guests. These include guided tours of the aquarium, tide-pool talks, and divers in the kelp tank. For an added dimension to your event, an educational discovery lab designed for all ages is available, and guest speakers can also be scheduled.

The Birch Aquarium at Scripps features a spectacular location overlooking the Pacific Ocean. A dazzling variety of marine life in realistic habitats are on display. Experience thousands of sea creatures in 34 special exhibits, including a two-story kelp-forest tank containing fishes and giant marine plants. Explore the nation's largest marine science museum to learn about the history of oceanography and the latest developments in global research.
