• High resolution geological repositories of the variability of coastal circulation along the western shores of the Americas
• High resolution studies of Pleistocene and Holocene Paleoceanography and Paleoclimate
• Interaction and evolution of eastern boundary currents with global climate
• Sensitivity of calcitic and opaline phyto and zooplancton to ocean circulation changes
