  • Dissertation: "Linking Ecosystem-Based Management to Conservation: Understanding and Mitigating Bycatch of Small Cetaceans in Artisanal Fisheries." My fieldwork focuses on four populations of Irrawaddy dolphins in the Philippines, Thailand, and Indonesia
  • Proximate and ultimate explanations for how human activity and marine megafauna overlap in space and time, including ecological, socioeconomic, and cultural factors.
  • Conservation of marine tetrapods, with a focus on coastal species in tropical developing nations.
  • Behavioral ecology, with a focus on habitat use and ecological determinants of sociality of marine tetrapods.
  • Ecosystem-based management of artisanal fisheries in tropical developing nations.
  • Macroecology of open-ocean ecosystems
