Scripps Oceanographic Collections

The Oceanographic Collections of Scripps/UC San Diego are world-renowned resources supporting basic research, educating current and future generations of scientists, providing factual information to governmental agencies and public policy makers, stimulating curiosity and scientific understanding in the citizens of the state of California, and providing a repository for samples collected by Scripps researchers.
