Roger Revelle Leadership Fund at Scripps

The Roger Revelle Leadership Fund at Scripps will enable the institution to recruit and retain the most outstanding students, faculty, and researchers Ð an objective that was always paramount to Roger when he was Scripps director. Of particular importance, the fund will provide the flexibility for Scripps to target the most important human resource needs of the institution from year to year: graduate and postdoctoral fellowships, chair and new-faculty start-up costs, and research seed funding. Such are the resources that attract the brightest and most innovative minds to a great research and teaching institution, and they are the very tools that Roger employed to astoundingly successful effect when he led Scripps a half century ago.
