Area:  Pt. Loma 10 miles SW
Will be deploying acoustic source
towing at 5 kts at about 180 feet

R/V Sproul is tasked to support MPL for SWellEX 96, 10-15 May funded by NRL
and NRaD. Dr. William Hodgkiss, MPL,  is assigned as Senior Scientist for
scheduling, replaced By William Gaines. The Senior Scientist to be embarked
for the cruise is Mr. Howard Lynch, NRaD code 745, phone 553-3489. I will
provide Howard with a sailing list form and copies of SIO questionnaire on
Physical Ability to Work at Sea and the Policy on Alcohol and Drugs Aboard
SIO Vessels. Bill Gaines.

        I have come to an agreement with Newell Booth that provides one of
my Sproul days to support the acoustic source tow activity for the SWeLL 96
experiment in May of this year.  Please make the necessary arrangements to
transfer one "Sproul day" from my account to the appropriate party.  If you
