Dr. Ohman,
As an attempt to reply to the message of 3 April to Woody
Sutherland, Erika Wilson asked if I was aware of the specifics on your upcoming
expedition.

Woody and I discussed your cruise before he went on vacation. Woody will be
going out with you. He has made arrangements with Dave Griffith at SWFS for
their MOCNESS system. As I understand the situation, Dave will be able to
assist Woody in the setup for your cruise. The ODF Cruise Request was in the
works, but was not finalized before Woody went on vacation.

I was not privy to the request for the CTD package so unfortunately that will
have to wait until Monday before Woody responds.

Woody-
This repeats the contents of my phone messages. A reminder that I have a
cruise on the Sproul for SIO271 on 13 April. Since I have a separate cruise
on the Sproul the day before we will need to have the MOCNESS system fully
set up and working by Thursday, 11 April. I haven't been able to reach
Dave Griffith, but I assume that you have everything in order for use of
SWFSC's MOCNESS.

So, I will need:
1 m^2 MOCNESS with 10 333-um nets and cod ends, flow meter, etc.
At least one spare net, spare cod ends, etc.
    CTD package
    Fluorometer
It would be preferable to have the plotter connected up for real time
profiles of T,S, & fluorescence.

We will deploy the MOCNESS from the 0.322 conducting wire. We will deploy
other nets (bongo, Manta net) from the hydrowire.

Let me know if you have any questions.
