Dear Neville, RE: Melville survey, 10-17April 1997
Thank you for sending the personal information for you, Peter
and Jock. The Ship Scheduling Office will look for the Alcohol
forms and the Medical History forms (again, the latter are
voluntary) for the three of you via fax.
I confirmed with the SIO Marine Superintendant that you may stay
on board Melville the night of April 9/10 in Hobart and again
in Melbourne the night of April 17/18. The ship will be shifting
from her initial berthing pier to the shipyard very early on the
morning of the 18th, so you may wish to depart prior to that move
which may take several hours. Staying onboard until that afternoon
will be OK too. (FYI, I will be flying out the morning of the 19th.)
We will need to make a gravity tie when we get into Melbourne on
the 17th and I have requested information on the expected pier
location. Do I understand correctly that you or Peter will be
bringing gravity base station locations for Melbourne to the ship?
I'm planning to meet the ship in Hobart when she gets in on the
morning of April 8th and will look forward to seeing you the next
morning (9th).
Stu
