Rose - 

Late July might be possible for a pre-cruise meeting. 
But July 27-August 5 is out -- vacation already scheduled
with my family gets priority. And I have a meeting in 
Australia from August 17 - 25.  So a pre-cruise meeting
would have to be either before July 27, or between August
6 and August 16. 

One issue worth thinking about early is whether we should 
load some gear in San Diego in September prior to Melville's
departure -- cheaper than shipping to Punta Arenas.  If
that is possible (i.e., without conflicting with the cruises
in between September and January) we would probably need to
ship our stuff down in late August, as our staff are working 
out of New Zealand in September. That may be a res tech issue,
so feel free to pass this note on to them if needed.
